The opportunity

To build as a You as a Procurement & Logistics Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy's business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Lead a team of Buyers, Procurement Specialists, and Analysts to deliver accurate and timely procurement activities such as transactional purchasing, e-Sourcing, data management, and reporting. Ensure execution aligns with company and Procurement & Logistics (PL) instructions and procedures.

How you’ll make an impact

• Manage execution and tracking of procurement activities within the team, ensuring quality of delivery at optimized transactional costs while minimizing risks related to quality and financial exposure, following company and procurement procedures.
• Apply Group PL guidelines and local SOPs to improve cost, quality, delivery, and working capital, proposing SOP improvements for optimization.
• Coach and mentor the team, ensuring they possess the skills and competencies needed for PL activities.
• Oversee PL technology systems, including SAP Ariba, ensuring proper operation and performance.
• Maximize the use of SAP Ariba for supplier relationship management, sharing supplier information, and identifying high-performing suppliers.
• Investigate problems, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
• Lead people development, ensuring proper organization, staffing, and skills, and manage talent and succession planning.
• Uphold Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience managing procurement in power, energy, or manufacturing industries.

• Knowledge of P2P processes and systems.
• Results-driven with proven implementation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing and persuasion abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
