About the Company: A leading construction firm located in Jeddah & Riyadh seeks a Procurement Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and gather information on suppliers & subcontractors.
- Manage and develop a network of suppliers and subcontractors aligned with the company's market and growth strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of suppliers & subcontractors.
- Assist project managers with information analysis and provide recommendations.
- Coordinate with project managers for material delivery to sites.
- Verify invoices from suppliers by checking POs and delivery notes.
- Coordinate with project managers for timely site measurements before ordering materials.
- Procure materials at the best possible rates, ensuring quality, safety standards, and adherence to project budgets and timelines.
- Prioritize procurement of long-lead materials based on project schedules and coordinate accordingly.
- Manage procurement operations including RFQ, bid evaluation, vendor prequalification, negotiation, purchase orders, quality evaluation, and delivery, considering payment terms, logistics, and timelines.
- Evaluate suppliers, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend suitable vendors within budget constraints.
- Prepare technical submittals for selected materials and follow up for approval.
- Issue subcontracts considering project budgets, schedules, quality plans, and payment conditions.
- Review and verify invoices for commercial and financial accuracy.
- Handle valuations, certifications, and approvals of contractors.
- Process monthly progress invoices in line with contractual payment terms and measurement principles until final accounts.
- Draft purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
- Evaluate and finalize variations submitted by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
- Analyze and understand the scope of variations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Department Manager, related to procurement activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction and contracting industry, with KSA experience being mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
- Capability to function as a Purchasing Agent and Subcontract Administrator.
