Job description

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. 5-7 years of experience in the procurement and commercial field (i.e., Solar energy products, mounting structure, BMS, HVAC, Lighting etc.). Saudi Experience is a must. Good technical background. The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers. Team working skills. Negotiation skills. Fluency in English required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Good English writing skills (proposal making, correspondence) to make comprehensive offers and verbal communication skills. Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Previous experience in domestic & international logistics (shipments, incoterms, etc.) is preferred. Previous experience in solar energy products is a plus. Solid skills in MS Office Suite (Project, Word & PPT, Excel) are required. A background in Sketchup and PVsyst is beneficial. Highly self-organized and time-managed skills. Good interpersonal skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier referencing study.
Develop, implement, and drive procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets.
Manage suppliers to meet cost, delivery performance, schedule, and quality objectives.
Ability to outsource the business unit of products and services through exploring new technology and cost-effective subcontractors in local and overseas markets.
Capable of understanding technical specifications and designs developed by the technical team.
Define and maintain documented category and supplier strategies using market and competitive data.
Analyze all suppliers to select the most suitable suppliers who can deliver high-quality products at competitive pricing.
Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost, and quality to maximize benefit for the company.
Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.
Perform regular performance reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
Ensure commercial, legal, and contractual compliance in all procurement transactions.
Calculate costs of orders and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts.
Check shipments upon arrival to ensure orders are filled correctly and goods meet specifications.
Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to determine the best offer among potential vendors and suppliers.
Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
Locate suppliers and subcontractors using different sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products and services to be ordered.
Create benchmarks for all required items of business unit's scope.
Support the estimation team to enhance business competitiveness by exploring quotation edges.
Identify areas for improvements and communicate these issues with possible solutions to management.
