A leading company in engineering services seeks a Procurement Engineer to manage sourcing operations across projects in Qatar. The ideal candidate will coordinate procurement activities, evaluate vendors, and ensure compliance with project requirements in alignment with company policies. Strong negotiation skills and experience in the engineering or construction industry are essential for success in this role.
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer to manage and coordinate the sourcing of materials, equipment, and services for engineering and construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong negotiation skills, technical knowledge, and experience in vendor management.
Review project specifications and prepare procurement plans based on project schedules.
Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
Obtain competitive quotations, analyze bids, and negotiate contract terms.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and logistics teams for procurement needs.
Maintain vendor records, price lists, and procurement documentation.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms and project requirements.
Ensure that all procurement activities align with company policies and cost control targets.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering or a related field.
3 to 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management in engineering or construction industries.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor evaluation, and contract management.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
