Job description

  1. Purchase and expedite materials/equipments in line with specified strategy, cost, quality, and delivery targets from local market.
  2. Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems that may impact business operations. Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities.
  3. Monitor and advise on any issues that present risks or opportunities to the organization. Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
  4. Work closely with others in the procurement function and report opportunities for continuous improvement and business enhancements.
  5. Report issues of concern regarding trends. Highlight critical concerns, along with potential recommendations for improvement.
  6. Ensure compliance with current procedures, internal controls, policies, laws, rules, and regulations.
  7. Adhere to any health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of oneself, staff, and visitors.

Skills

  1. An engineer specialized in business administration, purchasing management, or possessing a university degree or equivalent qualification. with strong technical skills/experience.
  2. Successfully passed Degree with Valid Certificate.
  3. Familiar with purchasing regulations.
  4. Two years of experience in an international company with valid experience certificates. Experience in goods purchasing & expediting, preferably with hands-on experience in Oil & Gas EPC and international projects.
  5. Negotiation skills to enhance prices and terms of business with suppliers, and to assess opportunities for cost savings through the use of negotiation and procurement best practices, tools, and methods. Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
  6. Solid analytical skills.
  7. Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  8. Good oral, written communication skills.
  9. Ability to work well with others,especially with local suppliers. And be self-directed with general supervision.
  10. Demonstrated team and leadership skills. Attention to detail, adaptability, being a self-starter, demonstrate integrity, honesty, and have the ability to learn new skills to allow them to be successful in their career. Excellent teamwork skills.
