- Obtain competitive quotations for new asset purchases, including heavy equipment and machinery.
- Source and secure external rental equipment when internal fleet availability is limited.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Procurement Process Management:
- Coordinate with the operations and PMV teams to understand equipment requirements and specifications.
- Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Lead the entire procurement process, from vendor evaluation to order placement and delivery coordination.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an approved supplier database.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including quotations, purchase orders, and delivery receipts.
- Prepare procurement reports and updates for management as required.
- Ensure proper documentation for procurement audits and compliance checks.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between operational requirements and procurement plans.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to manage expectations and resolve issues.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with the PMV Director and other stakeholders
Desired Candidate Profile
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the PMV or heavy equipment industry.
- Proven experience in managing procurement processes and supplier relationships.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Personal Attributes:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
- High ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
