Job summary

A leading company in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 4-5 years of experience in procurement and estimation for swimming pool systems. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of filtration, dosing, heating, and automation systems, alongside strong negotiation and organizational skills. This role involves coordinating with various teams and stakeholders, ensuring timely procurement processes, and preparing cost estimates from design documents.

Qualifications

Job Description

Qualification : Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying / Procurement

Experience : Minimum 4–5 years of experience in procurement and estimation for swimming pool systems or related MEP works

Technical expertise required:

• Thorough understanding of swimming pool systems including filtration, dosing, heating, and automation
• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., SPATA, FINA, ANSI, ASME, BS, DIN)
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components such as pumps, filters, control panels, valves, and piping
• Awareness of logistics and material handling processes within the KSA region
• Preparation of quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and BOQs from design drawings and specifications
• Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for pricing and lead times
• Creating and maintaining procurement logs, RFQs, comparison sheets, and purchase orders
• Reviewing technical documents, tender requirements, and material submittals
• Coordination with design, site, and project teams for estimation and procurement schedules
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, and procurement/estimation tools; ERP knowledge is a plus

Communication & Soft Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, clients, suppliers, and internal departments
• Detail-oriented with strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills
• Capable of multitasking, meeting tight deadlines, and working under pressure
• Proactive and solution-oriented with a professional approach to documentation and follow-ups
