Purpose
The Process Engineer supports the process team in the design, operation, implementation, and commissioning of Power Plants. The role focuses on understanding and improving industrial processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, enhance sustainability and reliability, and maximize profitability for JIGPC facilities in Jazan, Saudi Arabia.

Nature & Scope
Reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, the Process Engineer assists in accelerating commissioning activities from the process perspective, proactively planning upcoming tasks, and supporting project execution, including MOCs for the Power facility.

Safety
Principal Accountabilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and demonstrate leadership in safety practices, ensuring proper documentation of safety activities.

Engineering

• Provide technical guidance during commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
• Support commissioning activities, including review of procedures and safety assessments.
• Assist in process safety hazard reviews, SIL assessments, and Layer of Protection Analysis.
• Support validation of SIS and DCS systems and guide control room operations during startup.
• Identify performance gaps, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions for plant operation.
• Develop and execute performance testing programs post-startup.
• Support process safety reviews and plant modifications.
• Perform process simulations and support documentation updates.
• Guide operations during plant commissioning and ongoing operations, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance during commissioning.
• Provide leadership in asset performance, including troubleshooting, efficiency, safety, and reliability improvements.
• Train operations personnel and support advanced control initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of combined cycle power plant steam systems, design, and operation.
• Experience with power plant commissioning, reliability testing, and safety systems, especially SIEMENS turbines, HRSGs, and steam turbines.
• Gulf region experience preferred.
• Strong cross-disciplinary understanding in process engineering, controls, safety, and equipment design.
• Effective communication skills and proactive problem-solving attitude.
