Job summary

Tronox is seeking a production-focused Chemical Engineer to coordinate daily technical support, analyze production workflows, and implement improvements that boost efficiency and safety. The role emphasizes maintaining data integrity, reporting, and small capital projects to optimize operations.

The candidate will apply mass balancing, PFDs/P&IDs, SPC, and MOC practices to drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proficient in analyzing production workflows and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Experience with process design, equipment selection, and startup/shutdown procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily technical direction to production for troubleshooting and efficiency improvements.
• Completes production, process and metallurgical reporting and interprets data for improvements.
• Manages/coordinates improvements or small capital projects.
• Maintains and analyzes production data and databases to ensure accuracy.
• Monitors process control instrumentation and coordinates corrective actions as needed.
• Records, trends, analyzes data to optimize overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
