Primary purpose of the position:

• Responsible for efficient setup and operation of Decorating Machines and Conveyor Equipment.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, printing, and process issues to ensure continual efficient operation of equipment.
• Follows procedures for quality, safety, and reporting; maintains a clean work area; suggests improvements; and performs other duties as needed.
• Maximizes production and minimizes spoilage during manufacturing.
• Sets up, adjusts, repairs, maintains, and overhauls all backend-related equipment.
• Understands and complies with safety SOPs and work instructions, especially for Lockout/Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and PPE.
• Checks schedule to determine need for changeover, conversion, or scheduled maintenance.
• Plans and executes corrective actions to maintain quality and production.
• Makes changeovers or conversions by setting up equipment for different materials, sizes, or products.
• Checks, tests, and measures product quality specifications; examines for visual defects.
• Performs repairs or overhauls on backend equipment and transfer devices; replaces worn or damaged parts.
• Reads schematics, prints, and manuals; interprets and follows operational instructions.
• Performs preventive maintenance; reports findings and takes necessary actions.
• Responds promptly to nonconforming conditions within specified timeframes.
• Implements and applies the 5S system.
• Performs any additional tasks assigned by higher authority for the benefit of the business.

Professional & Education Qualifications

High school diploma, mechanic diploma, or related field.
