Management of procurement and contract activities for WorleyParsons includes selecting reliable sources of supply, preparing and approving purchase orders, supervising purchasing, controlling price and quality, and ensuring timely delivery of raw materials and supplies.

Specific Accountabilities
  • Preparation and implementation of comprehensive procurement procedures and work instructions for the procurement team.
  • Preparation of procurement plans, identifying all key equipment, materials, and third-party contract services required.
  • Detailing purchasing/contracting strategies, proposed vendors, and budget estimates.
  • Preparation of approved vendor lists for projects and RFQs to vendors.
  • Evaluation of vendor bids and recommendation for awards.
  • Monitoring suppliers and contractors for performance compliance.
  • Monitoring project procurement and material tracking systems in SAP.
  • Overseeing delivery scope of work for procured project materials.
  • Verifying confirmation and acceptance of materials for invoice payments.
  • Managing purchase change orders and variation orders with appropriate approvals.
  • Reviewing and processing claims against vendors for unsatisfactory equipment, materials, or services.
  • Preparing and issuing procurement reports regularly.
  • Implementing and monitoring continuous improvement systems and processes.
  • Ensuring team operates within specified budgets.
  • Conducting internal procurement audits for procedure conformance.
  • Reviewing and approving purchase orders and contracts.
  • Establishing relationships with the supplier market.
  • Developing supply agreements with vendors to maximize returns.
  • Minimizing costs through efficient work practices and promoting cost-effectiveness.

Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Business Unit.

Safety – Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices, understanding and following OH&S procedures.

  • Must have experience in all aspects of procurement of materials for oil & gas industry projects.
