Management of Procurement and Contract activities for WorleyParsons

Select reliable sources of supply, prepare and approve purchase orders, supervise purchasing, control price and quality, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials and supplies.


Specific Accountabilities
  • Preparation and implementation of comprehensive procurement procedures and work instructions for the procurement team.
  • Preparation of procurement plans identifying all key equipment, materials, and third-party contract services required.
  • Detailing purchasing/contracting strategies, proposed vendors, and budget estimates.
  • Preparation of approved vendors list for projects and RFQs to vendors.
  • Evaluation of vendor bids and recommendations for award.
  • Monitoring suppliers and contractors to ensure performance compliance.
  • Monitoring project procurement and material tracking in SAP.
  • Overseeing the delivery scope of work for procured project materials.
  • Verifying confirmation and acceptance of materials for invoice payment.
  • Managing purchase change orders and variation orders with proper approvals.
  • Reviewing and processing claims against vendors for unsatisfactory equipment, materials, or services.
  • Preparing and issuing procurement reports regularly.
  • Implementing and monitoring continuous improvement systems and processes.
  • Ensuring team operates within budgets for man-hours and capital costs.
  • Conducting internal procurement audits for procedure conformance.
  • Reviewing and approving purchase orders and contracts.
  • Establishing relationships with the supplier market.
  • Developing supply agreements with vendors to maximize returns.
  • Minimizing costs through efficient practices and promoting cost-effectiveness in purchasing.

Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU.

Safety – Responsible for personal safety and following OH&S procedures.

Essential Skills/Experience
  • Degree or Diploma
  • Experience in all aspects of procurement for oil & gas industry projects.
Matching Indicators
  • Minimum 15 years of experience
  • Minimum 10 years in oil & gas/petrochemical industry
  • Minimum 5 years as contract specialist in oil & gas industry
