Principal Geochemist collaborates with all technical teams to ensure excellence in exploration programs. Responsible for developing and designing methodologies and SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement geochemical sampling programs to support mineral exploration and resource evaluation.
- Ensure ongoing team development in geochemical methodologies and interpretation.
- Interpret geochemical data to identify mineralization patterns, anomalies, and potential ore deposits.
- Collaborate with geologists to integrate geochemical data into geological models.
- Develop geochemical models and predictive tools to optimize exploration targeting and resource estimation.
- Stay updated on emerging geochemical technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Communicate findings effectively with stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and partners.
- Work across exploration camps, mentoring field geologists.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and MSc Degree (PhD preferred) in relevant Geoscience from an accredited institution.
- 15 years of experience in mineral exploration with proven expertise in geochemical investigations.
- Proficiency in geochemical modeling software and statistical tools.
- Strong understanding of mineralogy, petrology, and ore deposit genesis.
- Experience with geochemical aspects of mine planning, processing, and environmental management.
- Leadership and project management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of geoscience targeting for multiple commodities, especially Cu, Ni, Zn, Li, Ag, Au, and REE systems.
- Understanding of mineral discovery challenges, especially in covered terrains.
- Hands-on GIS experience (preferably ArcPro) and extensive data management skills.
