Job summary

Egis seeks a Principal Engineer in Wet Utilities to lead high-profile infrastructure projects in the Riyadh region. You will guide design teams, ensure technical excellence, and maintain key client relationships while driving successful delivery in a BIM-enabled environment.

The role requires 8+ years in Wet Utilities, PE license, and strong proficiency with EPANET, WaterCAD and related tools. You will mentor engineers and contribute to strategic project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Wet Utilities project experience.
• PE license or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead wet utilities design and implementation across projects.
• Maintain strong client relationships and serve as primary contact.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Prepare and review technical specs, drawings, and documentation.
• Manage budgets, resources, and schedules; report to senior management.

Job Description

As a Principal Engineer in Wet Utilities within our Infrastructure, you will lead high-profile projects, ensure technical excellence, and maintain strong client relationships. You will provide strategic direction, mentor junior engineers, and drive the successful delivery of complex Infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Wet Utilities for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong, productive client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for major projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring optimal utilization and financial performance. Provide regular reports on project status, technical performance, and team development to senior management.
• Prepare reports calculations and design documentation
• Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
• Assist in managing Infrastructure projects, supporting senior engineers and project leaders in delivering successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related engineering field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
• Extensive experience in design of Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewer, Storm, Irrigation, District cooling, and Firefighting.
• Working knowledge of relevant software packages like EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD and SWMM.
• Experience and familiarity with the following programs is a plus: ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
