Role Profile Number

Job PurposeThis highly experienced and critical role involves initiating, leading, and executing complex, high-impact Six Sigma projects throughout the organization to achieve significant waste reduction, improved process variability, and substantial cost savings. This position is also central to designing and delivering premier Six Sigma training programs for all company personnel, serving as a certified instructor authorized to formally qualify employees. The incumbent will utilize sophisticated data analytics, including insights from digital systems, to pinpoint areas for improvement and optimize processes, ensuring seamless integration with new digital solutions. This role will directly assist the OE Manager in attaining business objectives through various initiatives and will continuously elevate the Continuous Improvement department's overall training proficiency.
Key Accountabilities

1. Six Sigma Project Leadership & Execution:

  • Lead and manage multiple complex Six Sigma Black Belt-level projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to methodology (DMAIC, DMADV) and project timelines.
  • Identify, scope, and define high-impact improvement opportunities across various operational and business processes.
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques to diagnose root causes of inefficiencies and process variations

2. Six Sigma Training & Certification:

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive Six Sigma training programs (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt) for all company employees who register or qualify.
  • Act as a certified trainer and hold the signatory authority to certify other employees upon successful completion of rigorous training and project requirements.
  • Ensure training content is continuously updated to reflect best practices, industry standards, and the organization's evolving digital landscape.

3. Data-Driven Improvement & Digital Integration:

  • Utilize data analytics from digital systems (e.g., PIMS, ERP, other operational data platforms) to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement solutions that streamline processes and enhance their integration with existing and new digital solutions.
  • Ensure that Six Sigma projects contribute directly to the successful adoption and optimization of digitalization initiatives.

4. Coaching, Mentoring & Capability Building:

  • Coach and mentor Green Belt and Yellow Belt practitioners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Champion the application of Six Sigma principles throughout the organization, enhancing the overall Continuous Improvement capabilities.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Establish robust metrics and measurement systems to track the progress and impact of Six Sigma projects and training effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on project outcomes, cost savings, and process improvements to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure sustained benefits of implemented improvements through effective control plans.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Goal Achievement:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, department heads, and digital specialists to ensure successful project implementation and organizational buy-in.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in process improvement and Six Sigma training, directly assisting the OE Manager in achieving business goals through strategic initiatives.
  • Advise on best practices and innovative approaches to continuously enhance the entire Continuous Improvement department's training and operational effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related quantitative field.

Certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Black Belt (mandatory), with demonstrated experience in certifying others.

Minimum Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a related field within the manufacturing industry.

Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering multiple complex Six Sigma projects with significant, measurable financial and operational impact.

Extensive experience in developing and delivering Six Sigma training programs and certifying practitioners.

Experience in applying Six Sigma methodologies in environments undergoing digital transformation.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC, DMADV) and tools.
  • Advanced statistical analysis skills and proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R, Python for statistics).
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with experience leveraging data from digital systems.
  • Knowledge of process mapping, value stream mapping, and lean principles.
  • Familiarity with digital technologies and their application in process optimization.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver effective training curricula.
