Job description

This role is client-facing and requires the Principal Consultant to lead and produce deliverables based on proactive services engagements. The Principal Consultant will work directly with multiple customers and key stakeholders (security teams, system and network administrators and owners, C-Suite, etc.) to manage and deliver proactive incident preparedness engagements, as well as wider proactive assessments and services. Furthermore, the Principal Consultant will act as a mentor and go-to person to build up and strengthen our Proactive Services team. Speaking at conferences and representing Unit 42 are also part of the role.

Your Impact
  1. Perform and lead proactive incident preparedness projects, including but not limited to TableTop Exercises (TTX), Incident Response Plans, and Response Maturity Assessments.
  2. Review Crisis Management, Incident Response, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Plans, along with other relevant documents supporting business resilience.
  3. Plan and deliver a range of TTXs, including writing post-exercise reports with detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  4. Manage and lead incident preparedness and other cybersecurity engagements from initial scoping through to delivery.
  5. Perform travel as required (average 20%) to meet business demands.
  6. Mentor team members in incident preparedness best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Your Experience
  1. 6+ years of incident preparedness and/or incident response consulting experience with a passion for cybersecurity.
  2. Experience leading and delivering complex engagements, including scoping, client interfacing, and executing incident preparedness or IR projects.
  3. Incident response consulting experience is required; incident preparedness experience is a core focus of this position.
  4. Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
