Job description

m2r Education are working on behalf of an ultra high net worth family in Saudi Arabia who have a need for a highly experienced Primary (KS1 & KS2) Tutor to start in August 2025.

Reporting to the Education Team Leader, you will be responsible for the planning, design and delivery of individualised lessons for upper primary-aged students, ensuring alignment with the appropriate curriculum (Cambridge / Pearson Edexcel). We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with loads of enthusiasm and a stable career history working at leading UK and British international schools at KS2 level.

You would be based in Riyadh however domestic (Jeddah mainly) and potentially international travel may be required, based on the family's itinerary. Given the potential travel involved, this role would be best suited to a teacher who can travel alone.

This is a full time role (40hrs per week) and you will be tutoring in the family residence.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop engaging, age-appropriate educational materials tailored to the student’s learning style and interests.
  • Provide one-to-one teaching to improve core skills in literacy, numeracy, science and other foundational subjects.
  • Incorporate creative, hands-on activities and experiential learning techniques to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Regularly evaluate the student’s progress through formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide detailed feedback to both the student and parent/guardian, suggesting strategies for continued improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of academic achievements, challenges, and completed learning goals.
  • Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.
  • Identify and address any additional educational needs, including social, emotional, or learning challenges.
  • Encourage a growth mindset, self-motivation, and resilience in the student.


Experience:


  • Specialisation in primary/lower secondary education or specific subject expertise (required).
  • Proven experience in teaching upper primary-aged students in a classroom, small group, or one-to-one context (required).
  • Familiarity with a range of curricula, including national and international frameworks (preferred).
  • Experience in planning and delivering differentiated learning experiences.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly with children and parents.
  • Patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for lesson planning and record-keeping.
  • Proficient in using technology to enhance learning (e.g., educational software, online resources).
  • To be familiar with international standards for assessment and reporting procedures.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Primary Teacher Education or a related field (required).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (required).
  • 3+ years full time primary teaching experience post qualification, in a UK or international school teaching the Cambridge curriculum
