Your day at NTT DATA

The Pre-Sales Manager is an advanced subject matter expert, primarily responsible for consulting with clients and working with internal teams to create strategies, transformational designs, and the architectural vision for complex solutions that meet clients’ needs.

This role provides multi-technology consulting services on application software, infrastructure, and related technology components.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop complex solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure, or functional areas.
• Evaluate alternative architectures considering cost, performance, and scalability trade-offs.
• Produce specifications for cloud-based or on-premises components, tiers, and interfaces, translating into detailed designs using selected services and products.
• Support change programs or projects through technical planning and application of design principles aligned with architecture standards.
• Understand client requirements, collect data, deliver analysis, and resolve problems.
• Monitor emerging technologies and gather external environment intelligence.
• Create reports, technology roadmaps, and share insights with stakeholders.
• Design components following architecture standards, patterns, and methodologies.
• Create multiple design views to address stakeholder concerns, including proof of concept (POC).
• Review and improve own designs against specifications.
• Recommend new go-to-market services and share knowledge on relevant verticals.
• Develop holistic and integrated solutions across technical levels and the value chain.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to less experienced Solutions Architects.

Knowledge and Attributes :

• Advanced knowledge of multi-vendor service integrations, software, OS, and infrastructure designs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of deployment methodologies for infrastructures and application software.
• Ability to develop and leverage reference architectures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as sales, product, and delivery.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications :

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, business, or related fields.
• Certifications in Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, SOA, ITIL, COBIT).
• Safe Scaled Agile certification is advantageous.

Required Experience :

• Advanced professional experience in software development, application support, and infrastructure support within large-scale, preferably multinational, technology services environments.
• Project or program management experience is preferred but not essential.
• Client engagement and consulting experience, including needs assessment and change management.
• Experience integrating solutions with business domains, enterprise concerns, standards, and best practices.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Proven ability to develop, sell, and deliver technical solutions.
