The Pre-Sales Engineer is accountable for advising and coordinating with the Sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to account penetration strategies, pre-sales implementations, solution design and training. S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners and customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Act as a subject matter expert in technical/solutions design of the company products/services.
Work with the Sales team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies and achieve set targets.
Create specific accounts for product(s), service(s) and sales plans pertaining to the company products/services.
Collaborate with the Sales team in qualifying opportunities, supporting and advising on the technical aspect of the sales lifecycle including technical qualification, presentation of solution proposals and high-level designs and demonstrations.
Run, manage and drive proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP) and close opportunities from a pre-sales and implementation perspective.
Build sound relationships with partners and customers in support of sales objectives.
Lead technical sales calls.
Manage adoption, integration and value generation of offered products/services within the customer/partner business and related IT infrastructure.
Complete required pre-sales documentation in a quick and accurate manner.
Develop content, train and support partners and customers.
Respond to after-hours support queries during assigned rotations and escalate issues if needed.
Put available systems into practice (salesforce.com CRM for leads, opportunity and deal registration management) for output efficiency and standardization.
Position Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field.
Experience
At least 3 years of relevant experience required with the following:
Endpoint OS & Management Experience with thin client operating systems: configuration, deployment, and maintenance. Proficient in Linux-based environments for secure endpoint delivery. Familiarity with central management tools for thin clients (e.g., imaging, PXE boot, lockdown tools). Deep understanding of Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Microsoft AVD integration with thin clients. Capable of designing scalable endpoint architectures in large enterprise or distributed environments. Solutions such as: UNICON (eLux + Scout), IGEL OS + UMS, Stratodesk NoTouch, Dell Wyse ThinOS, HP ThinPro, NComputing, 10ZiG OS.
Monitoring & Telemetry Skilled in deploying and managing Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) platforms. Strong command of Windows internals, performance counters, and telemetry data. Proficient in PowerShell, WMI, and log analysis. Able to analyze end-user experience across Citrix, AVD, or physical endpoints. Experience integrating monitoring tools with data platforms (e.g., Elastic, Splunk, Kusto). Solutions such as: UberAgent (by vast limits), ControlUp, Lakeside SysTrack, Nexthink, Alluvio Aternity, Microsoft Endpoint Analytics.
Security & Contextual Access Experience configuring context-aware access controls in VDI/DaaS environments. Familiar with conditional access policies, device posture checks, and identity federation. Skilled in Citrix SmartAccess/SmartControl, Intune compliance policies, and Zero Trust design. Strong working knowledge of IAM platforms such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta, or Workspace ONE. Understanding of how to enforce dynamic access policies based on device, network, and location context. Solutions such as: deviceTRUST, Citrix SmartAccess/SmartControl, Microsoft Conditional Access (Intune + Entra ID), VMware Workspace ONE Access, Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.
