These qualities of passion, pride, and aspiration are reflected in our career development programs, community service projects, and social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community.

The Role

Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) is a high-growth area in our business that enables electric distribution utilities to monitor, manage, control, and optimize the grid. As a Power Systems Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of delivering systems to our customers. You will leverage your experience with utility operations, ADMS systems, and business processes to lead and advise utility clients during ADMS implementation. You will act as a trusted advisor, engaging with all levels of the utility from field crews to executive management. You will collaborate with functional teams including ADMS Application Engineers, Architecture and Product Solution teams, and Software Development. Your insights will influence the future of ADMS products and serve as a "voice for the utility" within AspenTech. This role reports to the Manager, ADMS Project Consulting.

Your Impact
  • Lead the creation and deployment of automated testing tools such as Locust, K6, Python, and other frameworks developed by AspenTech.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives to optimize deployment processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness, and develop standardized templates and protocols.
  • Guide and mentor internal teams, third-party collaborators, and customer technical experts on automation best practices as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Engage in automated non-functional testing to identify limitations and areas for enhancement in AspenTech's ADMS and test frameworks, collaborating with development teams to ensure optimal product performance and quality.
  • Manage and optimize internal ADMS delivery scripts for simulation, configuration validation, and custom solutions, ensuring they remain efficient and aligned with standards.
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of project implementation or operational experience, preferably in the utility or automation industry.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Bash, and PowerShell. Experience leading technical workshops. Familiarity with SVN, GitHub, SDLC, Linux server OS, networking, firewalls, load balancers, TCP/IP, security standards, SQL, and MongoDB.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Business Analysis and Change Management concepts. Strong customer service commitment.

The salary range for this role is $77,900 - $97,400, with potential for bonus or incentive pay. We offer comprehensive benefits including paid time off, charitable giveback days, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement plans.
