Process Safety and Risk Engineer – Expatriate Role (Saudi Arabia)

We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to join a specialist team supporting clients in the global energy and power sector. This is an expatriate opportunity offering relocation support and benefits. The role involves conducting technical surveys of large-scale assets, providing risk improvement recommendations, and supporting the placement of industrial insurance through technical underwriting reports.

This is an exciting opportunity for engineers with strong backgrounds in process safety, operations, or asset integrity who want to apply their expertise on an international stage.

Responsibilities
  • Survey energy and power industry assets worldwide and prepare detailed underwriting reports
  • Recommend process safety improvements and best practices to help clients strengthen risk management
  • Calculate estimated maximum loss (EML) values associated with potential major incidents
  • Work closely with client executives, brokers, and claims teams to provide technical support for insurance placement and proposals
  • Develop technical papers and thought-leadership materials on process safety management topics
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in the energy and/or power generation sector
  • Bachelor\'s degree in engineering (or similar technical discipline)
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to senior management and leading survey meetings
  • Skilled in data analysis and spreadsheet management for loss estimation
  • Well-organised, with the ability to meet reporting deadlines and coordinate international site visits
  • Advanced technical background in areas such as process engineering, process safety management, operations, construction project management, asset integrity, and emergency response
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with major operators or manufacturers
  • Previous senior management or technical leadership roles
  • Master\'s degree in engineering (desirable)
  • Professional/chartered status, or eligibility to obtain it
  • Multilingual skills
  • Experience in project management and commissioning
