Job Purpose

To monitor and control the execution of multiple projects to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality and specifications. Ensure that project managers follow the minimum required standards for monitoring, controlling, executing, and reporting projects satisfactorily.

Key Accountability Areas

  1. Project Planning and Coordination
  • Ensure all projects have detailed plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project charter, scope, and deliverables.
  • Team Leadership and Execution
    • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure quality results.
    • Address issues and develop solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Risk Management and Monitoring
    • Identify and manage potential risks, providing mitigation solutions.
    • Monitor project progress and recommend adjustments to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Communication and Reporting
    • Communicate project updates and status reports to stakeholders, including the project team, senior management, and sponsors.
  • Standards and Compliance
    • Ensure all projects comply with standard processes, regulations, and internal standards.
    • Guide project managers to develop projects in line with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Documentation and Close-out
    • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper storage of all project documents.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and report progress to stakeholders.
    • Oversee the closure of all contractual obligations and project close-out procedures.
  • Support to PMO
    • Provide necessary support to the Project Management Office (PMO) for project-related matters.

    Role Accountability

    • HR Proficiency: Maintain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.
    • Delivery: Execute planned activities to meet operational and development targets, utilizing resources effectively within cost and time constraints. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and progress.
    • Problem-Solving: Resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
    • Quality: Ensure quality requirements are met through effective quality control and process development.
    • Business Process Improvements: Develop and coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures; seek automation opportunities.
    • Compliance: Adhere to relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
    • Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures to guarantee safety and high-quality delivery.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
    • 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
