Job description

Our client is a leading adhesive manufacturer in the region, operating a site with over 100 employees. They are seeking a Plant Manager to oversee all technical functions at the site.

Role Description

Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing (Specialty Chemicals), you will manage the entire Industrial Adhesives site in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Your responsibilities include overseeing Production, Maintenance, Warehousing, Quality Assurance, Sales Support, and Product Development, in coordination with support departments such as Finance and Sales.

You will also be responsible for:

1. Ensuring production goals are consistently met.
2. Developing and managing manufacturing budgets.
3. Managing maintenance functions and plans.
4. Overseeing Capex projects.
5. Developing and enforcing QHSE policies and procedures.
6. Implementing continuous improvement techniques to enhance processes and reduce costs.
7. Monitoring inventory and waste management for efficient factory operation.
8. Controlling the quality of finished products with a zero-tolerance policy for substandard quality.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Industrial Management or Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in the industrial adhesives manufacturing industry. Preference will be given to candidates with a Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credential from APICS. A thorough understanding of the adhesives manufacturing process is essential.
