Plant Manager – Fresh Milk Plant

Our client, a leading dairy manufacturing enterprise in the Middle East, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at their Fresh Milk Plant.

Opportunity:

Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of the Fresh Milk Plant. The role involves leading a multicultural production team, ensuring compliance with operational and quality standards, and continuously driving improvement across all key performance areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervising and motivating a multicultural team to ensure the daily production plan is delivered on time and within specification as per the Guide to Production (GTP).
2. Developing and implementing strategies to enhance GMP standards, staff competencies, departmental KPIs, and operational efficiency.
3. Ensuring staff adhere to company policies and procedures in all tasks performed.
4. Coordinating with other departments and business units to align production activities with broader business needs.
5. Reconciling all material movements within the Fresh Milk Department and managing stock levels.
6. Conducting monthly stock counts and ensuring accurate reconciliation with financial records.
7. Analyzing production data daily and implementing corrective actions where departmental KPIs are not achieved.
8. Preparing reports as required by the Manufacturing Director.
9. Following up on repairs for any damage or breakdowns in equipment or facilities under your responsibility.
10. Reporting incidents to the Manufacturing Director promptly, including details of corrective actions taken.
11. Delegating responsibilities to ensure department objectives are achieved across hourly, daily, weekly, and annual targets.
12. Carrying out any reasonable instructions or assignments as directed by the Department Manager.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Proven experience in managing operations within a dairy, food, or beverage manufacturing environment, ideally in a fresh milk or liquid dairy facility.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead multicultural teams and deliver results in a fast-paced production setting.
3. Strong understanding of GMP, quality systems, and operational KPIs.
4. Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
5. A relevant third-level qualification in food science, dairy technology, agri-food business, or related discipline is preferred.
6. Experience with raw material reconciliation, stock control, and cross-functional collaboration.
7. Familiarity with health and safety procedures, plant hygiene, and compliance reporting.
