Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Planning Manager - Construction to join our team. In this role, you will manage program-wide project control and scheduling activities, and maintain the Program Master Schedule. You will develop capabilities and supervise performance in planning, scheduling, analysis, reporting, and progress evaluation.

This position interfaces with the Client, Project Director, Contracts Managers, Design and Engineering teams, Construction Directors, PMCM Consultants, and oversees all construction scheduling activities. The role reports to the Senior Planning Manager.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Provide guidance and assistance to resolve complex planning problems
  • Interface with clients and PMCM consultants, attend meetings, and produce statistical reports
  • Manage a team of Planning Engineers/Specialists to analyze and evaluate project progress against milestones
  • Assess impacts of design/construction changes and schedule slippages
  • Support integration of scope, cost, and schedule within the WBS, ensuring accurate mapping
  • Develop and refine schedule management plans, procedures, and reporting tools
  • Collaborate on the development and maintenance of the program-wide WBS and integrated schedule
  • Assist project and client teams with planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Develop procurement strategy and update phasing timelines
  • Contribute to milestone and schedule requirement development in RFPs
  • Participate in review and responses during tender periods
  • Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings with contractors, consultants, and clients
  • Create statistical reports for management
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university
  • 15+ years of experience in project control and scheduling for engineering and construction, including supervisory roles
  • Extensive experience with projects at the design stage
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
  • Proficiency with Primavera Enterprise Systems scheduling technology
