The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Planning Engineer to join the Utilities department. The successful candidate is to supervise, monitor, and ensure that the ALMARAI water treatment plant standard operation, testing procedures, preventative maintenance programs and quality controls are always followed. To ensure the performance and product quality of the water and that the treatment plant and facilities operate in accordance with ALMARAI standards procedures at all times

Candidates must have:

• Qualified Water treatment / Chemical Engineer
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in -water and wastewater treatment. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of water/ wastewater treatment plants like RO, ETP, STP. Responsible for raising Purchase requisitions, Service entries and Goods Received Notes in SAP
• A sound knowledge of water treatment process viz. Reverse osmosis, ETP, STP, UV and chemical treatment.
• Knowledge of Antiscalant and other specialized chemicals used in water treatment and its related software for selection of correct product and its optimum dosages.
