Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the project controls & document control staff for efficient project control delivery.
  2. Prepare the project controls plan for assigned projects.
  3. Provide oversight and review of the consultant's planning and scheduling, including staff plans, manpower histograms, and project progress measurement.
  4. Ensure effective execution of project controls programs in accordance with department procedures.
  5. Review contract drafts to ensure they include adequate cost and scope definitions and meet project controls requirements; coordinate data development for negotiations.
  6. Apply planning and scheduling techniques as appropriate per the approved project controls/execution plan.
  7. Ensure project control systems provide effective tools for supervisory staff to manage their work efficiently.
  8. Lead the process of capital budget determination and scope of work definition.
  9. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning software and techniques; ensure staff skills are current.
  10. Inform stakeholders of potential threats to schedule completion and propose remedial actions.
  11. Prepare weekly and monthly internal and client project status reports.
  12. Review schedules and programs of engineering consultants.
  13. Develop staffing and execution plans to ensure resource availability.
  14. Prepare and coordinate project control presentations for client management.
  15. Direct project control activities, developing policies, objectives, and standards for cost and schedule control.
  16. Evaluate subordinate performance and identify training needs.
  17. Establish good working relations with team members, project staff, and clients.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field.
  3. Registered engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  4. Preferred certification: PMP or PRINCE2.
  5. Knowledge of planning & scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project).
  6. Advanced knowledge of project management software, including Microsoft Project, Primavera, MS Office, Power BI.
  7. Ability to analyze project performance, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
  8. Excellent oral, analytical, and presentation skills.
  9. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and procedures.
  10. Strong planning, organizational, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  11. Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
