Job description

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Director to drive the success of our ambitious development projects. In this critical role, you will oversee the planning and project control's function within one of our largest precincts, with a focus on Residential and Hotel projects, ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and meet the necessary quality standards. You will play a key role in establishing project controls processes and systems that will enhance productivity and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of effective project planning and controls strategies.
  • Collaborate with project managers to create detailed project schedules and cost estimates.
  • Monitor project performance against established baselines, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve project goals.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement risk management strategies to mitigate impacts.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on project status, facilitating effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership and support to project controls teams, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the development of training programs to enhance the skills of project controls personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in planning and project controls within large-scale construction or real estate development projects. Preference given to those with experience within Residential and/or Hotel assets.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing comprehensive project schedules and budgets.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software tools.
  • Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Experience in the cultural or entertainment sectors is an advantage.
