Job Description

Wood is currently looking for a Planner IV in Saudi Arabia for the Gas Increment project.

Responsibilities
  • Candidate must be familiar with GES+ Contracts Project handling in terms of project planning, with hands-on experience in preparing EPC schedules as per ARAMCO specification SAEP-331.
  • Develop and maintain planning control structures aligned with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software.
  • Monitor and control planning activities throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and other functions, including third parties, to stay informed about project activities, status, and their impact on schedules and manpower.
  • Prepare and distribute project plans and schedules according to reporting requirements.
  • Provide project progress and performance status reports as required.
  • Update project plans, schedules, and manpower requirements regularly.
  • Assess and communicate the schedule impact of change notifications.
  • Monitor overall project progress, milestone achievement, and evaluate performance against the plan.
  • Participate in internal project progress and performance meetings.
  • Coordinate with the cost discipline to ensure accurate control and forecasting of man-hour budgets, including assessing change request impacts.
  • Participate in schedule risk analysis when needed.
  • Contribute to Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement reviews.
  • Support and mentor junior planning personnel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline, recognized by SCE as an approved engineering profession.
  • Proficient in Primavera and other scheduling tools, with knowledge of Logic, CPM analysis, resource loading, and leveling.
  • Understanding of Project Execution Procedures related to Scheduling.
  • Knowledge of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to develop project schedules and resource plans.
  • Experience in resource loading, progress tracking, and staffing plans.
  • Understanding of earned value management, including cost and schedule variance analysis and scenario planning.
  • Strong grasp of project management principles and techniques.
  • Good knowledge of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning, and Risk Management.
