Planner IV

Job Description

Wood is currently looking for a Planner IV in Saudi Arabia for the Gas Increment project.

Responsibilities

1. Candidate must be familiar with GES+ Contracts Project handling in terms of project planning, with hands-on experience in preparing EPC schedules as per ARAMCO specification SAEP-331.
2. Develop and maintain planning control structures aligned with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
3. Develop and maintain baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software.
4. Monitor and control planning activities throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
5. Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and other functions, including third parties, to stay informed about project activities, their status, and their impact on schedules and manpower requirements.
6. Prepare and distribute project plans and schedules according to reporting requirements.
7. Provide project progress and performance status reports as required.
8. Update project plans and schedules regularly.
9. Update manpower requirements based on project needs.
10. Assess and communicate the schedule impact of change notifications.
11. Monitor overall project progress, milestone achievement, and evaluate performance against plans.
12. Participate in internal project progress and performance meetings.
13. Coordinate with cost teams to ensure accurate control and forecasting of man-hour budgets, including assessing change requests.
14. Participate in schedule risk analysis as needed.
15. Contribute to Project Controls Compliance and Continuous Improvement reviews.
16. Mentor junior planning personnel.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline, recognized by SCE.
2. Proficient in Primavera and other scheduling tools, including logic analysis, CPM, resource loading, and leveling.
3. Understanding of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling.
4. Knowledge of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.
5. Ability to develop project schedules and plans.
6. Experience in resource loading, progress, and staffing planning.
7. Understanding of earned value management, including cost and schedule variance analysis and what-if scenarios.
8. Strong grasp of project management principles and techniques.
9. Good understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning, Risk Analysis, and Management.
