Job Title: Lifting Engineer

Experience:
Minimum 8 years of experience in lifting operations within the oil & gas construction sector. ARAMCO-approved Lifting Engineer.
Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lifting Engineer to oversee and manage all lifting operations on a major oilfield construction project in KSA. The ideal candidate will be ARAMCO-approved with extensive experience in heavy lifting, rigging plans, crane selection, and lifting safety in oil & gas environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments in compliance with ARAMCO and international standards.
  • Evaluate crane configurations, lifting equipment, and ground conditions to ensure safe operations.
  • Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with ARAMCO lifting procedures, Saudi Aramco Lifting & Rigging Standard (SAES), and site HSE requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical input for complex and critical lifts.
  • Coordinate with construction, safety, and project management teams to schedule and supervise lifting activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to riggers, crane operators, and site teams.
  • Review and approve third-party crane certifications, inspection reports, and operator qualifications.
  • Ensure all lifting equipment is inspected, certified, and tagged prior to use.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident investigations related to lifting operations.
  • Liaise with ARAMCO representatives for lifting plan approvals and inspections.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in lifting operations within the oil & gas construction sector.
  • ARAMCO-approved Lifting Engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of crane load charts, lifting gear, rigging practices, and safe lifting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES-H-003, GI-0006.001, etc.).
  • Certification in Lifting & Rigging (e.g., LEEA, CIC, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proficient in preparing lifting plans using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
