Piping Inspector (Pipeline Checker)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inspection & Quality Control:
   • Conduct visual inspections of pipelines to ensure proper alignment, welding, coating, and joint integrity.
   • Verify that materials used comply with project specifications and industry standards (API, ASME, ASTM, etc.).
   • Check pipe supports, fittings, valves, and welds for defects or inconsistencies.
2. Compliance & Documentation:
   • Ensure all pipeline construction activities adhere to safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
   • Maintain detailed records of inspections, reports, and non-conformance issues.
   • Work with quality control teams to resolve any compliance or safety concerns.
3. Testing & Verification:
   • Assist in hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing of pipelines.
   • Monitor pipeline flushing, purging, and cleaning activities.
   • Verify welding and coating quality through non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
4. Coordination & Communication:
   • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and safety officers to address quality and technical issues.
   • Communicate findings and recommendations to the project management team.
   • Participate in safety briefings and toolbox talks.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or BE
• Experience in pipeline inspection, quality control, or construction in the oil and gas industry.
• Knowledge of pipeline codes and standards (API 1104, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8).
• Familiarity with NDT techniques (RT, UT, PT, MT).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
