Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Physical Education Teacher, who will be a key member of our diverse, compassionate, and innovative teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured PE lessons to students in Primary & Secondary, including the early years through to KS4.

Position Duties

The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected To

1. Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
2. Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum.
3. Teach swimming to students from early years to KS3.
4. Demonstrate creativity and inspire compassionate action.
5. Inspire children with enthusiasm and a love for learning.
6. Instil self-belief and a growth mindset in all students.
7. Deliver an active, hands-on, and student-centred programme to promote learning.
8. Maintain a safe learning environment for pupils at all times.
9. Observe, monitor, and record student progress in line with school assessment policies.
10. Respond appropriately to the individual needs and abilities within the class.
11. Have a good grasp of educational technology and its implementation to enhance learning opportunities.
12. Organise Primary Sports Day events with the help of other PE team members.
13. Be flexible and adaptable to changes, including distance learning if necessary.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Headteacher or Principal.

Qualifications And Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

1. A university degree in the subject area of employment (Master's degree preferred).
2. Current teacher certification from a recognized and nationally recognized institution.
3. Relevant experience and certification in teaching similar school programs (preferred).
4. Swim England Level 2 or equivalent in teaching aquatics.

Experience And Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Prior experience as a Physical Education Teacher.
2. Experience coaching a variety of sports.
3. Coaching certification or experience as a coach.
4. Proficiency with G Suite/Microsoft Office.
