Job Description
Responsible for the organization and control of pharmaceutical supplies, equipment, and materials used in the hospital and pharmaceutical warehouse functions.

Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Qualifications
  • Education/Licensure/Professional Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university, with a minimum of four (4) years experience working as a Pharmacist in a healthcare/hospital setting, including unit-dose drug distribution, outpatient pharmacy, medication delivery services, narcotic/controlled substances issuance and record keeping, discharge pharmacy counseling, general medication counseling, and inventory management (Essential).
    • OR
    • Master's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university, with a minimum of two (2) years experience in similar roles (Desirable).
  • Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Classification and Registration in good standing (Essential).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure accurate receiving of all pharmacy-related supplies at receiving areas.
  2. Review delivery records (invoice, etc.) for accuracy and discrepancies before acceptance.
  3. Maintain and ensure accurate routine delivery of medication to different pharmacy locations.
  4. Control preparation, issuing, and storing delivery of supplies; sign all receiving invoices from vendors.
  5. Coordinate with other hospital departments for exchange or urgent issuing and receiving of medications.
  6. Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly medical store and warehouse offices.
  7. Monitor and control the pharmaceutical supply receiving area.
  8. Conduct quality improvement tasks with staff members.
  9. Review and update warehouse policies and procedures.
  10. Perform all duties professionally, effectively, and confidentially.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
