Sinopec, China’s largest petroleum and petrochemical company, is seeking a skilled Petrochemical Engineer for its well-established facility located at Dhahran Techno Valley. Sinopec Tech Middle East LLC is a high-tech R&D institute and technical support center for Sinopec’s petroleum engineering business in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The Associate Scientist will participate in R&D projects in completion, production, artificial lifting, reservoir stimulation, and implement field application of technologies and products. Job Title: Petrochemical Engineer
- Specialized in petrochemical/polymer technology and catalyst development.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between the company and licensees, building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Provide expert technical assistance to licensees during the implementation, commissioning, and operational phases of licensed technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to process design, operation, and optimization.
- Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and ensure compliance.
- Lead R&D projects focused on process optimization, catalyst evaluation, and novel technology applications, ensuring timely delivery of results aligned with business goals.
- Work closely with production, R&D, and engineering teams to address client requirements. Provide regular reports to management on technical support activities and client feedback.
- Provide training and technical guidance to internal teams and clients to enhance their understanding of our technologies.
- Analyze client processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Assist the marketing team by providing technical expertise to help secure new projects.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for potential clients.
- Participate in client meetings and industry events to promote our products and services.
- Ensure all technical activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and ethical behavior in all professional activities.
Qualifications:
- Nationality: Preferably Saudi nationals.
- Education: PhD in Petrochemical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 1 - 5 years.
- Languages: Proficiency in English.
- Must be in good physical health.
- No criminal records.
