Job description

Service as a Registrar in the Pediatric Registrar department involves diagnosing and treating injuries or illnesses. The role includes examining patients, taking medical histories, prescribing medications, and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Registrar counsels patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare related to their individual cases.

Accountabilities

  1. Assess patients and document findings.
  2. Design and execute the patient’s care plan.
  3. Educate patients on their health condition, investigations, treatment options, and medication use.
  4. Promote health and disease prevention.
  5. Order and review investigation results.
  6. Prescribe medications.
  7. Maintain accurate patient records.
  8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
  9. Adhere to NCC policies, procedures, bylaws, and strategic plans.
  10. Align with NCC’s mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines.
  11. Participate actively in NCC committees and task forces.
  12. Comply with CBAHI standards of care.
  13. Establish effective relationships with departments, agencies, vendors, patients, and families.
  14. Complete fire safety requirements.
  15. Follow clinical and departmental standards, including attendance.
  16. Engage in quality improvement and program evaluation activities.
  17. Support continuous professional development of junior staff.
  18. Incorporate heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
  19. Develop and support CME activities such as rounds, conferences, and lectures.

Specialty Tasks:

  1. Perform tasks based on training, experience, skills, and Saudi health council guidelines.
  2. Carry out additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.
  3. Working Days: 6 days/week
  4. Day Off: 1 day/week
  5. Working Hours: 8 hours per shift, scheduled by the department head.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from recognized universities.
  • Master’s degree in a related specialty or Fellowship with SCFHS approval.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience post-master’s or eligible for board examination.
  • SCFHS license.
  • Licensed as Registrar in the related specialty from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

Computer Skills

  • Office and Health Information Systems proficiency.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and Arabic (speaking and writing).
