Job Purpose

The Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician is responsible for preparing vehicles for delivery to customers by performing detailed inspections and quality checks. This role ensures that all vehicles meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and cleanliness before leaving the stockyard.

Main Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform comprehensive pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
  2. Check vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical, and safety features, to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Complete all PDI documentation and quality control checklists accurately and promptly.
  4. Ensure vehicles are clean, polished, and presentation-ready for delivery.
  5. Perform software updates, diagnostic checks, and calibration of vehicle systems when necessary.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  7. Report any issues, delays, or significant repair requirements to the Stockyard Manager or Supervisor.
  8. Draft departmental policies, support the implementation of procedures and controls, and recommend improvements.
