Job description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be passionate about baking and dessert creation, with the ability to design and prepare high-end pastries, breads, and desserts for a luxury hospitality setting. The chef will also be responsible for leading a team and ensuring top-quality production with consistency and presentation excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, create, and execute a wide variety of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and bread using modern and traditional techniques.

  • Develop seasonal and custom dessert menus in line with the brand’s standards and customer preferences.

  • Oversee daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and quality control.

  • Supervise and train junior pastry chefs, bakers, and kitchen assistants.

  • Maintain proper stock levels of baking ingredients and coordinate with purchasing for timely supply.

  • Ensure all food preparation meets HACCP and food safety standards.

  • Monitor portion sizes, food costs, and waste control to maintain profitability.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management for special events, promotions, and new menu rollouts.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Baking, or Patisserie.

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in professional pastry kitchens, preferably in 4- or 5-star hotels or fine dining establishments.

  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary pastries, international desserts, chocolate work, sugar art, and plated desserts.

  • Ability to lead a team and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent presentation skills and a keen eye for detail.

  • Previous experience in the Gulf region or Saudi Arabia is an advantage.

  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Certifications:
  • HACCP or food safety certification

  • Advanced pastry training (e.g., Le Cordon Bleu, Ecole Lenôtre, etc.)
