A Pastry Chef is responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while planning production and developing seasonal offerings.

What will I be doing?

As a Pastry Chef, you will operate the pastry section of the kitchen, working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in running the pastry section
  • Ensuring high quality of dessert offerings
  • Bringing creativity to pastry offerings
  • Supervising and coordinating pastry and dessert preparation and presentation
  • Planning production to meet daily requirements
  • Developing seasonal menu offerings
  • Managing food cost controls to contribute to revenue
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations
What are we looking for?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or Pastry Chef in high-volume food production
  • A creative approach to pastry
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • A relevant trade qualification (proof may be required)
  • A positive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • A commitment to high customer service standards
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
