Job description
  • Surface Preparation: Preparing surfaces for painting or decorating by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks or holes, and applying primers or sealers.
  • Painting and Finishing: Applying paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
  • Color Matching: Ensuring that the colors used match the hotel's design specifications and maintaining consistency throughout the property.
  • Decorative Work: Performing decorative painting techniques, such as faux finishes, murals, or stenciling, to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the hotel.
  • Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and touching up painted or decorated areas to keep them looking fresh and presentable.
  • Safety Measures: Following safety protocols, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring proper ventilation while working with paints and solvents.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other departments, such as Maintenance and Housekeeping, to coordinate activities and minimize disruption to guests.
  • Inventory Management: Keeping track of paint supplies, tools, and equipment, and ensuring they are stored properly and replenished as needed.
  • Guest Interaction: Occasionally interacting with guests to address any concerns or requests related to the appearance of their rooms or public areas.
  • Project Planning: Assisting in planning and executing larger renovation or redecoration projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. It's a vital position that helps create a welcoming and visually appealing environment for guests.

What we need from you

Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

  1. Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification or equivalent in Hotel Administration / Business Administration
  2. Two to three years prior tenure in a similar role
  3. International luxury hotel chain background
  4. GCC exposure
  5. English fluency is required
  6. Arabic fluency is preferred
