We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic A CSE Engineer, Projects, who will be involved in demanding projects. He/she takes over from the CSE Engineer, Solution, in the initial start-up meeting and is accountable for coordinating all engineering work until the project is handed over to maintenance.

Collaboration with sales:

Responsible for finding the optimal KONE product to meet the customer’s needs for non-standard with special engineering requirements. Selects the correct product platform for making the offer and ensures the offer is competitive.

Product planning – Costing:

Involves understanding materials and service costs from supply line, installation, maintenance, and project management. Responsible for accurate product costings in non-standard cases, for both corporate and local materials.

Product planning – Specs:

Creates detailed, custom product plans for non-standard cases, collaborating with the SL Engineering team when needed. Develops product specifications for corporate and local materials, performs initial and revised energy calculations, and conducts simple traffic analyses. Responsible for technical site surveys and the technical content of orders between MS 0b and MS 2z.

Product planning – Availability and lead times:

Coordinates product lead times from supply line and local sourcing.

Product planning – Installability:

Ensures the proposed product can be installed and considers the cost and effort of installation in product plans, especially in non-standard situations.

Product planning – Maintainability:

Ensures that the proposed product meets the customer’s lifecycle needs and identifies deviations from standard maintenance methods, ensuring solutions are found.

Product planning – Compliance:

Ensures the proposed product complies with local codes, regulations, safety, environmental standards, and KONE’s engineering policies.

Key tasks in the KONE Customer process:

Provides content for pre-booking reviews, including technical product details, costs, lead times, risks, and contract verification. Executes activities for holistic product planning.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial experience in high-rise engineering or elevator industry
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills in English; Arabic is an advantage
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to work across different time zones and cultures
  • Technical understanding of elevator, escalator, and advanced people flow solutions is a plus
