Job description

The jobs at this level are responsible for supervising the development and maintenance of application systems for specified functional areas. Job holders use technical knowledge and experience in IT to plan and implement changes in processes and systems, contributing to developing appropriate solutions for the business through leading short- to medium-scale projects. They also supervise and train subordinates, developing their technical skills.

This role involves providing in-house support and new implementation for Oracle Fusion Financials Applications, including solutions delivery, support, documentation, and training.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement approved departmental policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to maintain controlled work processes.
  2. Manage day-to-day operations assigned to the function to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
  3. Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure efficient task execution in line with policies, processes, and procedures.
  4. Study functional requirements and collaborate with users to understand and clarify needs for application system development.
  5. Conduct detailed technical planning for assigned development projects.
  6. Perform system analysis and design, delegating simpler tasks to team members for capability building and training.
  7. Prepare project plans and work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
  8. Lead system testing and ensure effective debugging.
  9. Implement application software and monitor system operation.
  10. Adjust or customize software according to user requirements.
  11. Train and coach subordinates to enhance their application development skills and motivate them.
  12. Review customer requirements, provide solutions, and map them with Oracle Financials Applications components such as General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Budgetary Controls, Transaction Taxes, and Financial Reporting. Develop functional designs for Financials Applications interfacing.
  13. Resolve daily functional issues and month-end close challenges for Financials Applications, and raise service requests with Oracle for application bugs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications may be required for specific roles.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financials Applications, Oracle Procurement, and Supply Chain applications.
  • Business acumen.
  • Budget and cost control skills.
  • Data collection and analysis skills.
  • IT and computer literacy.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Management skills.
  • Project management experience.
