Overview

The Ophthalmology Nurse reflects the mission, vision, and values of the organization, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. He/She is a registered professional clinical nurse (RN) responsible for providing and coordinating evidence-based, clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, including diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. As a member of the clinical care team, the Ophthalmology nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to advance patient care, achieve exceptional outcomes, and improve unit operations.

Skills required:

1. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff, and other stakeholders.
2. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment, independent thinking, and creativity in resolving issues.
3. Proficiency in using computers and relevant software applications; experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
2. Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage but not essential.
3. Preferred: Experience in ophthalmology or related clinical area.

Requirements:

3. All educational and employment certificates.
4. Valid primary license from the country of origin, if applicable, and eligibility for licensure in Qatar with QCHP.
