JOB DUTIES STATEMENTS:
Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs clinical duties as per his/her assigned clinical privileges.
- Assesses his/her patients thoroughly (e.g., clinical, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional assessments) as per DSFH policies and documents patients' assessments in medical records.
- Develops a plan of care for patients using an evidence-based approach, following standards of care, and documents the plan in patients’ medical records as per DSFH policies.
- Ensures that the patient’s plan of care is implemented in a timely manner.
- Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under his/her name.
- Develops a discharge plan on the day of admission for inpatients and involves discharge planning services early if warranted.
- Assesses inpatients admitted under his/her name at least once daily, ensuring documentation of daily assessments and plans of care in progress notes using SOAP format as per DSFH policies.
- Responds to medical consultations promptly and as per DSFH policies.
- Documents medical interventions performed on patients in a timely manner, following DSFH policies.
- Ensures timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries for patients admitted under his/her name, including discharge instructions and education on take-home medications prior to discharge.
- Provides education to patients and their families, engaging them in the care plan and documenting the education provided in medical records.
- Attends hospital duties, responds to calls from the hospital as per departmental/section call schedule.
- Participates in departmental and staff meetings, contributing ideas to improve efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
- Responsible for writing medical reports for his/her patients as per DSFH policies.
- Contributes to teaching rounds and activities as requested by the medical department chairperson.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Complies with organizational policies on ethical practices and represents DSFH professionally in the community.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility.
- Demonstrates compassionate communication skills, supporting patients with the philosophy that “the patient is the center of our care”.
- Performs all duties in line with Person-Centered Care values.
- Adheres to policies, plans, and programs within Fakeeh Care.
- Follows the code of conduct and ethical standards outlined in HCM policies and guidelines.
- Completes mandatory education at least one month before expiration.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge on quality, safety, accreditation, policy management, and document management systems.
Qualifications
- Completion of structured training in the specialty or subspecialty at a recognized medical center, obtaining the highest clinical degree in that field.
- Completion of required experience as per Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) requirements in recognized medical centers.
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties license and Ministry of Health Saudi License are required.
