Job Duties

Under strict supervision, assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of cementing service equipment at work locations, including spotting cement storage vessels, pre-mixing spacer fluids, and rigging-up appropriate data monitoring equipment. Learns to operate some or all of the following: cement pumping and mixing equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools. Assists in performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and completes related paperwork/reports. Properly performed tasks have minimal impact on organizational viability. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; licensure to operate commercial equipment may be required. May require completion of I-Learn courses such as Essential Mathematics, Red Book, and Cementing 1. Effective communication skills are necessary due to the nature of oil field service work. Basic mathematical skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are required. Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are necessary; basic computer skills are preferred. This is an entry-level position into the service operator job family. Promotes safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines. Participates actively in quality improvement processes. This is an entry-level position in the Cementing family.
