Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the ammonia refrigeration system, packaged refrigeration units, and supporting equipment.
- Ensure continuous operation of all facility systems and equipment, maintaining optimal conditions.
- Coordinate operations and maintenance activities for equipment.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources for facility maintenance.
- Assist in technical analysis and provide real-time data on refrigeration and operational equipment status.
- Work with water treatment suppliers to ensure proper equipment operation.
- Ensure ammonia compressors operate safely and efficiently to minimize energy consumption.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues.
- Handle maintenance emergencies promptly.
- Complete duties following quality assurance standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety protocols, and government regulations.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the work area clean and report potential contamination, leaks, or suspicious activity immediately.
Your Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience working with ammonia refrigeration.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Certificate in HVAC.
- Knowledge of equipment setup, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Experience working in a maintenance department.
