Job description

The candidate is required to coordinate and handle Trade Finance product for Riyadh location including Import/Export/Collection/Guarantee/Financing and Loan Processing on behalf of local client/ FIs. The incumbent of this role will interact with Stakeholders with Service Level plans and contribute to the review of deliverables for potential clients. There is a requirement to engage with External Corporate Clients, External Financial Institutes, Legal Dept, Risk Dept, Trade Sales, to negotiate and agree upon an acceptable Guarantee / LC text.

As an Operations Associate within the Trade & Working Capital team, you will manage different components of workload, client and other internal and external reporting on a daily basis ensuring adherence to designated deadlines and controls. The incumbent needs to work with minimum supervision and act on their own initiative to identify tasks and efficiencies to be implemented in the unit.

Job responsibilities

  • Monitoring/processing of Trade Finance transactions to ensure completion.
  • Adhere to all established work and escalation processes.
  • Escalate all exceptional processes and maintain their audit trails for record purposes; prepare weekly and monthly metrics.
  • Strict adherence to all relevant processes and procedures.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve complex customer inquiries/requirements to provide required solutions in the operating environment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 5 plus years of Trade Finance experience/Banking Operations with up-to-date knowledge of current market practice.
  • University Degree.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are essential.
  • An understanding of Trade Finance documentation and the Trade Finance Operations business.
  • Knowledge of the International Chamber of Commerce Rules and Regulations governing trade finance products: ISP 98 / URDG / UCP600 and local regulations of SAMA.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities daily ensuring adherence to all risk control, compliance, and regulatory policies.
  • Professional telephone manner, communication, and interpersonal skills.
