Job Purpose

Responsible for leading a team of warehousing and logistics staff to ensure compliant, efficient, accurate, and timely operations. These operations include transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and logistics.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Contribution

  • Set the operational tone for maximum efficiency at the most competitive cost.
  • Ensure that all operational activities are implemented at optimum productivity & customer centricity.
  • Embed respect and the spirit of collaboration through positive and effective relationships with the team and other stakeholders.

Operational

  • Execute standard operating procedures for daily, weekly and periodic business processes to ensure optimal business results.
  • Demonstrates continuous numerical improvement on the company’s cost to serve.
  • Manage delivery vehicle performance to ensure customers are being serviced per the agreed KPIs and SLAs.
  • Follow Up all the activities of all functions involved from the receipt of goods to replenishment needs to the delivery of the material to Salehiya customers.
  • Provide the required assistance to line managers and key personnel in warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Provide the required assistance to process improvement initiatives to ensure the objectives set by the company are correctly and timely met.
  • Maintain effective communication and assisting the line manager with the correct review forums, such as Monthly Performance Reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement related to service levels, productivity, and route optimization through continuous Improvement efforts by putting concrete plans to address them.
  • Work with the department manager to ensure the successful and timely launch of key initiatives and projects.

Human resources and assets

  • Ensure that the working environment is pleasant and cooperative.
  • Continuously coach operational staff and frontline employees on internal process improvement and proper service execution.
  • Plan & manage Annual & Other Leaves with operational manager.
  • Identify and recommend staff training requirements and impart the Training on SOPs to new employees.

Equipment & Assets Management

  • Ensure resources like storage space, manpower, and equipment are efficiently utilized.
  • Ensure Machinery, equipment, consumables, and other resources are appropriately planned, used, and well maintained.
  • Ensures all operational staff abide by company safety procedures & GDP practices and the country’s road safety laws to protect company’s public image, public property and company’s private property. Promptly correct unsafe conditions through relevant departments.
  • Quality, Health & Safety and Environment
  • Strictly follow SOP, QMS, and work instructions. Also, promote adherence to procedures by your staff.
  • Report all incidents of any nature and however caused to their immediate superior completing all necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
  • Ensuring timely calibration of Temperature sensors & equipment coordinating with purchase and maintenance departments.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications: bachelor’s degree or diploma / Preferred Pharmacist or Bio-Medical Degree

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years in Supply Chain and related activities & 2 years of which are in a supervisory role.

Skills: Problem-solving skills/ leadership skills/Strong communication skills/Can-Do Attitude/Advanced English.
