The opportunity
You as an Operations Planning Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- During the preparation phase of a project, the IPM is responsible for activities such as creating PT for the PM, process documentation, and reviewing intranet or company quality management or process sequences.
- Checking the PT and adapting it to the actual scope of supply upon receipt of the order.
- Assembly planning by creating a detailed sequence program with all project-relevant activities and personnel planning, including determining personnel requirements and initiating reservations within the department and with sub-suppliers.
- Creating the schedule in consultation with the customer and PM, determining required assembly tools in cooperation with assembly personnel, and ensuring timely procurement and shipping to the construction site, including assembly consumables and infrastructure.
- Defining responsibilities, information flow, and working relationships among project participants and the construction site through organizational and flow charts or construction site regulations.
- Determining delivery sequences of materials by collaborating with sales and project execution offices.
- Supporting assigned personnel during the project and continuously monitoring costs through SAP, comparing budget and actual costs to identify deviations early and initiate corrective measures.
- Evaluating progress reports and informing project managers and partners about work status, progress, and costs.
- Inspecting and initiating timesheets, discussing questionable reports with superiors, based on the 'Regulations for Assembly and Commissioning personnel.'
- Recording deviation reports in SAP, monitoring compliance with regulations, handling insurance cases in consultation with insurers and project managers, and requesting personnel according to current planning while monitoring safety regulations.
- Monitoring quality assurance measures, advising employees at the construction site, holding discussions during site visits, participating in project meetings, and reporting unusual occurrences to superiors.

Your background
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a high diploma.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience, preferably with GIS.
- Experience with SF6 GAS handling; HE-CH GIS product knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
