WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

SUEZ has submitted for a significant operations and maintenance project of water network assets in the prolific NEOM region within Saudi Arabia. The submission is currently under evaluation with the customer, and we are sharing this opportunity at pre-staffing stage of development.

Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of ENOWA’s water transmission and distribution system. This includes pumping stations, reservoirs, break pressure tanks and transmission pipelines. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations, compliance with ENOWA’s requirements, achievement of contractual KPIs, and delivery of high-quality potable water.

The Operations Manager coordinates with the Maintenance Manager, QHSE Manager, and ENOWA representatives to optimize performance, manage risks, and ensure smooth transitions between commissioning, operations, and handover phases.

  1. Manage all operational staff (operations, SCADA, process / lab, GS team) to ensure safe and efficient running of all assets.
  2. Define, implement, and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for reservoirs, pumping stations, BPTs, and networks.
  3. Monitor system performance including SCADA trends, running hours, process results, water quality, and equipment availability; ensure KPIs are met.
  4. Coordinate with Maintenance Manager to align preventive and corrective maintenance with operational needs and minimize disruptions.
  5. Oversee daily and weekly operational tours, inspections, and routine reporting to ENOWA.
  6. Review laboratory results and water quality data to ensure compliance with ENOWA potable water specifications.
  7. Support HSE Officers in incident management: investigate operational incidents and near-misses, prepare reports, propose corrective actions.
  8. Chair daily operational meetings and report to the O&M Project Manager and ENOWA on system performance.
  9. Coordinate with ENOWA WOCC for SCADA monitoring, alarms, and operational instructions.
  10. Support commissioning and transition of new assets into operations.
  11. Liaise with subcontractors for consumables, waste removal, and specialized services.
  12. Implement SUEZ standards for safety, quality, and operational excellence
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field).

  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in water transmission, pumping station, or utility operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong process knowledge of water treatment, storage, and distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with SCADA, CMMS (MAXIMO), and modern operational technologies.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC water sector preferred.
  • Excellent command of English; Arabic is a strong asset, French desirable.
  • Valid driving license.
